Xen guest types

I know NetBSD can run as both a HVM and PV domU. I'm also pretty sure it can't run as a PVHVM or PVH domU.

My question is can it run as a HVM domU but still use PV drivers? I'm trying to avoid the slowdowns that running an amd64 domU in full PV mode incurs, but also don't want to deal with the slowness from fully virtualized devices.
