This was a while ago, but I was not able to build 4.11 ...  it blew
chunks.  This would have been an older 8.0_STABLE amd64.  I think I
posted something about this to the lists at the time asking if anyone
had simular problems.  Has it been confirmed that 8.[whatever] is
building 4.11??

So, I ran 4.8 instead (to answer your question).
