I have been using PVH guests for quite a while and with somewhat recent
fixes both 32 bit and 64 bit PVH guests work well as long as you have
CPU support. If you have a very old CPU without some of the more
advanced support, PVH guests may perform poorly. I never use any sort
of bootloader with PV or PVH guests.
