I don't recall any specific policy about this; who made this imperial
decree and why wasn't I told? :-)
Seriously, I can't see anything in the wtf(6) man page or source which
makes this decree. The closest is the message from when the file was
first imported by Charles:
A small list of acronyms often used in electronic communication.
I'm not really sure what direction this list should grow in,
but I suppose someone else will figure that out. B-)
I have no problem with adding some of the more common or esoteric
computer acronyms, since they're often used in "electronic communication"
as well, and more often that a lot of the contents of the acronyms file.
Luke.
