The locking will work fine for you, but even if it didn't, it would
cause you no trouble for your application domain, which would
doubtless be attaching to another console device as a single user who
is unlikely to start up other cu/tip instances that would
interfere. (I'll repeat, though, it will work fine anyway because the
device isn't accessible over NFS anyway and the local part of the lock
will work.)
