Historically (IIRC), one of the reasons that *_LAPTOP existed was because
many less-capable machines needed all the extra options provided - i.e.
PCIBIOS, PCIBIOS_INTR_GUESS, and PCI_*_FIXUP. For boot/install media, might
it be wise to resurrect these (as GENERIC-.include'ed versions)? Or is
it mostly unnecessary at this point?
