In the past, config -x has helped me hugely on a number of occasions.
It is great that we're going towards a single kernel for everyone -
that's something I am really eager to see happen. The only trouble is
that now I'm going to have to move in the opposite direction, since I
need INCLUDE_CONFIG_FILE, and so I for one will have to go back to
building custom kernels again.
I realise that if we go the module route, then this argument becomes
moot. I think that until we've realised that goal, INCLUDE_CONFIG_FILE
should stay.
