OK.

The quota system should be reworked anyway, so that quota informations are
really part of filesystem metatada (so they can be journalled as well,
or be updated by fsck). But that's a bigger task ...

BTW, the quota+log issue is when the quota file is on the same
filesystem as data, or does it also occur when the quota file is on
a separate filesystem ?
If the former, could we enable quota on log as long as the quota file is on
a different fs ?

On my servers, quota files are in /var/quota, and /var doesn't have to be
journalled ...
