Well, I don't know ;-)

If you look at the code, in this case no interrupt handler is installed 
and sc_poll is not cleared. No idea if the SMI interrupt handler does
anything with this device (like actually do the poll) or not.

On my machine I get:

piixpm0 at pci0 dev 15 function 0
piixpm0: vendor 0x1166 product 0x0200 (rev. 0x50)
piixpm0: polling
