You forgot /usr/share/calendar/* in your list. Some of those files need
to be updated every year. Is anyone bothering updating, for example, the
list of US holidays?
Then again, would a program to generate calendar files from a set of rules
be useful? It's not like the rules change that often. I mean, how often
have Christian calendar *rules* changed? Twice in the past 500 years?
