...unfortunately, wu-ftpd is _huge_, bloated, and "portable" in the worst
possible way (IMO).  When I was at Oregon State U, we decided to _not_
use wu-ftpd for these reasons (it's also a memory pig, which was annoying
on a 32M hp380 running NetBSD 0.9C :-)  Instead, we added a bunch of
similar features to NetBSD's ftpd(8).
