Sure, I know about eject(1). Nevertheless, interactive mode would suck
without the capability to eject disks, because to play another disk you'd
have to break out and run eject(1). Also, I don't think I've seen a CD
player without the ability to eject disks.

Agreed. 'cdplay' would seem more appropiate.
