You're right, of course.  Having only NetBSD and Plan 9 to judge from,
I assumed that the standard had slipped somewhere along the lines,
specially as it seemed inconsistent.

I did check my relatively ancient 3B1 and noted that the behaviour has
been like this for a long, long time :-)

I guess I should ask for an extra execvp() variation :-)
