  rdist works fine for files in /etc, but starts to fail if the machines are
only slightly similiar --- i.e. the local user still gets to install stuff,
which is why they have a /usr/local. 
  When I say I want all of my cluster to run things, I really mean that I
want them to have access to the same set of tools :-)
