IPv6 doesn't configure the way IPv4 does. In particular, the use of
neighbor discovery and router discovery means that in general it is
inappropriate to have a "mygate6" or a "defaultroute6". I would
suggest this isn't the right thing to do. The existing config files
work fine in most instances.
