de_DE.ISO8859-1 should be valid value for LC_MESSAGES.
and it's why I made symlinks in nls directory.

for libintl, if you use "de_DE.ISO8859-1", "de" directory will
be checked. so no symlinks are needed. 

Am I missing something?
