What do you mean? Init mounts a mfs /dev, but before doing it, it reads
/dev/MAKEDEV and /dev/MAKEDEV.local in memory and then uses them. But both
files remain in the disk, "below" the mfs. I think they will just be hidden
until mfs is unmounted.
