FreeBSD works how Andrew noted, immutables can get blasted.
While compatability is nice, it is not always practical. There are
a lot of internal and behavoiral differences in our utilties.
I go for the comprimise suggestions myself, at least for now.
On a side note, Enami nailed a couple points I have to look
into so, yet another diff is coming out :-)
