There are at least two linux variants of "chkconfig" and I'm
embaressed to say I'm not familiar with the IRIX one.

But, given that there are at least two different linux ones,
I wouldnt be eager to see yet another variant.

I'm also not convinced that chkconfig does enough of what I want.
