Actually, it's a cshism (although it's a bit harder to pronounce). One
thing I miss which is also a csh/bash'ism is using bang (!) to
re-execute a previous command (it's "fc -s" in sh) and the variation I
didn't find any equivalent for: "!?" to do the same but search
anywhere in the line, not just at the beginning.
I am interested to see what experts answer to your request and would
also be interested to know if people would complain if "fc" grew the
functionality of "!?" as another flag.
