Prep uses this to denote the magical partition that contains the special prep
boot image. Thats what I use it for at least, and it seems to fit IMHO.

# size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg/sgs]
 a: 3869000 9863 4.2BSD 2048 16384 22400 # (Cyl. 9*- 3878*)
 b: 525626 3878863 swap # (Cyl. 3878*- 4404*)
 c: 4404489 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 4404*)
 e: 9800 63 boot # (Cyl. 0*- 9*)

Partition table:
0: Linux/MINIX (sharing disk with DRDOS) or Personal RISC boot (sysid 65)
    start 63, size 9800 (5 MB, Cyls 0-0/156/35), Active
1: NetBSD (sysid 169)
    start 9863, size 4394626 (2146 MB, Cyls 0/156/36-274/42/33)
