Also, there are licensing issues, and there is a "too much magic" issue in a majority of its functionality. Additionally, undo and redo cannot be performed arbitrarily since they have an influence on the undo/redo stack. Moreover, vims scripts have a number of design problems which promote arbitrary command execution vulnerabilities. Summing it up, I would be _very_ unhappy to have such a beast in base, if we have a basically-working solution (nvi). We should only try to spot and fix the charset problem. Tonnerre
