3270s don't really have the concept of scrolling - you just throw a page at them, and when the user hits send, it's like clicking on submit - all the data you've entered goes to the mainframe in a packet. They are actually the first web browsers, in an sense. Which is particularly cool when you realize that the original 3270 was implemented in discrete logic.
