I started with 'man -k wireless'; maybe that web page could be
updated a bit.

Not that it's plain sailing from there; while many of those
manual pages list cards the manufacturers switch from chipset
to chipset and model number to model number apparently at whim.

Where I got the pointer to TP-Link I no longer recall, but the
first of their cards I bought worked and was acceptably priced,
so it's my (very local :-) standard now and I have a couple of
them.
