These meta-discussions lead to no conclusion apart from that there

n people for, m people opposed and both parties argue that x people
would've been on their side if they would have cared to answer.
So the options are:
1) come up with and implement 2-n cool $frobnitz applications.
when people tell you should have used the excellent metapeel
language
instead, you can politely tell them that you have already done the
work and they can put out and demonstrate by code how metapeel is so
much better or they can shut up.
2) forget about it
I am opposed to "wishful thinking" additions to the base system
without
any real evidence of the actual usefulness.
