You cannot boot from gpt.

Most systems boot from MBR, and that's what works with NetBSD.
With -current you can then also use the GPT for partitioning,
so it is possible to boot from a >4TB disk.

Some systems can boot from an EFI GPT-partition. So far there is
no EFI bootloader for NetBSD.
