Change to OpenSSH - HomeDirectory
What is the process to change third party code? I needed a change to
openssh which I think is generally useful. Here is the bugzilla report
that I submitted to the OpenSSH project:
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1951
Unfortunately it seems to be stalled and I would prefer not to keep
changing my local copy.
So, a couple of questions. First of all, does this look like a
reasonable enhancement? This was worked out by david@ and myself.
Neither of us could come up with a cleaner method to do what this option
does,
Second, if it is considered useful, is there a process to get approval
to change third party modules like this or do I have to wait for OpenSSH
to approve it, get it into a release and then wait for NetBSD to pick up
the new release?
