By the way, my own little attempt will hopefully gain
self-sufficiency at the end of this week, so that only
mbrtowc(_l)?(3) and wctomb(_l)?(3) remain as dependencies to what
is yet called string and text functionality in POSIX.
(Because i haven't ported our hdoc yet [for some more years] i had
to invent a documentation system first, and also the test suite
had to be made shipout-self-sufficient.)
Once that is done i can actually start thinking about
decomposition, normalization etc., but, anyway, based purely upon
Unicode.
Thanks,
