The QNX one: [...]
The Oracle/HPUX/Solaris one: [...]
I may have misunderstood it, but perl's configure script appears
to do something like this:
if (symbol is in libc) {
if (prototype looks like X) ...;
else if (prototype looks like Y) ...;
else if (prototype looks like Z) ...;
}
and it probably blows up if the symbol is there with no prototype.
