You have 2 options.
1) compile your own kernel. I think this is a good idea for alot of people.
2) change you scsi ID's if you must use the GENERIC kernel.
The GENERIC kernel is huge and probably has a lot of things you don't wan't
go with (1). While your at it why not change your internal drive id too.
having HD's at ID 6 was stupid of commodore. I realize it was they who
inspired this. You want slow scsi devices at high ID's and fast scsi
devices at low scsi ID's. This allows tape drives for example to have a
better chance of streaming.
