Well I lied because I *also* run a -current kernel made with 2.6.2
Moreover I run lib*.so.* made with 2.6.2 with ONE important exception
...
I *never* got a decent libc.so.* if made with 2.6.2 :-( More in
particular vfprintf.c does not work since:
main() { printf("%d\n", 12345); } prints 1 (i.s.o. 12345)
This night I made a libc.so.* with 2.4.5 and that one *does* give a
working vfprintf.
Unfortunately, I have other (minor) trouble now ... cc1 stops on
signal 6 when it issues a warning (since I changed libc.so.*)
This is so because in err.h atribute noreturn gives a warning (it did
so with the old libc.so.* as well but then cc1 continued).
QUESTION:
does anybody try to rebuilding the libc.so.* with 2.6.2 ? If so what
about main() { printf("%d\n", 12345); } ?
I *really* regret the GNU compiler version dependency in NetBSD ...
How could the deviation with the GNU compiler evolution start in the
first place ?
