Comment:

 This is implemented in b635a076a9d8e4dc708d61dbaa21ee970535b62a.

 We should eventually cut down the amount of test cases that have
 use.fs=true, as most of them could be modified to not require messing with
 the file system (and thus make them faster).  Anyway, this is a separate
 task.
