Comment:

 Done in 8b07a08e80b2ff6c49e12aa81a6f6debebf79274. Not as nice as it'd be,
 as defining the header optionally in C/C++ is not easy, if not impossible
 due to our macros.  If the macros I've just added got a lot of use, I'll
 consider renaming them or looking for an alternative approach.
