Add support to atf-check to detect terminations due to signals

While doing this, refactor the code in atf-check to perform the
status checks in a nicer way.  Also, rename the eq: and ne: checkers
to exit: and not-exit: respectively for consistency with the output
checkers; the old names will eventually go away.
