| I would like to add swap space on NetBSD-current Jan 9. Although the
| system reports sd0c has been added as swap space, the swapinfo give me
^^^^
| a floating exception error. I found it's because the size is not added
| into kernel and the swapinfo make a divided by zero error. Here is my
| configuration file and partition table.
|
| [...]
| 5 partitions:
| # size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
| a: 61440 102400 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 88*- 141*)
| b: 61440 163840 swap # (Cyl. 141*- 195*)
| c: 102400 0 swap # (Cyl. 0 - 88*)
| d: 2032800 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 1759)
| e: 1807520 225280 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 195*- 1759*)
|
how on earth does this work? last i heard, the c partition referred
to the -whole- non-dos portion of the disk while the d partition
referreed to the -whole- disk.
did i miss something somewhere, or is the above disklabel extremely
bad?
marc 'em.
