I built Emacs 19.23 on my slightly-out-of-date (April 17?) -current
system last night.  It built "out of the box."  I don't run X,
however, so I can't say anything about Emacs' X capabilities.

I didn't notice until afterwards that I had used NetBSD's make instead
of GNU make, which made it even cooler.  My thanks to those who beat
Emacs and make into shape.
