The bogus offsets are *certainly* caused by an `incorrectly ported
application'.  (And had people actually bothered to fix them one of
the numerous times that I've pointed this out, they never would have
had a problem in the first place.)  It was never my intent to blame
the application for the kernel bug, however.  We can thank CSRG for
that.  B-)
