Subject: how do SUPing folks keep local mods from being quashed?

I have never used CVS, but I'm probably about to start.  I want to be
able to sup stuff in from sup.netbsd.org and throw it onto a branch in
my sources, and later (when I'm ready) merge the changes into my own
branch.

Do any of you current-users folks already do something like this?  Can
you share your scripts, config files, etc.?
