I had gotten some responses in favour of doing FTP-based sup (for those
of you who cannot actually sup), and said people wanted the scripts
that I had written to do this. In order to avoid flooding the group with
the scripts, if you were one of said interested parties, would you please
re-send me your e-mail address and I'll send you off a shar...?
It should be known that Charles Hannum doesn't think it's a good idea
to do because "what if the update doesn't happen?" or something to
that effect -- you could possibly get misleading or out-of-date files.
He explained it to me and I think I have the explanation here somewhere.
That notwithstanding, I have found this to be an incredibly useful
tool.
It should be noted that in order to use this tool, you must be receiving
daily CVS updates in your mail. More information will go out with the
shar.
