I have had a problem setting up a machine as an NFS server.  The machine
is running NetBSD 1.0 (+ patches), and has been configured with both 
NFSCLIENT and NFSSERVER.  The console displays:

..... nfsd[pid]: nfssvc: function not implemented

Also, I can't find any docs on how you re-export filesystems after
editing /etc/exports.  After SunOS 4.x I assumed a 'exportfs' type
command...
