On my Sun 3/260 with SunOS-4.1.1_U1:
ttyp1:<woods@most> # eject -d
eject: default device is "/dev/rfd0c"
ttyp1:<woods@most> # eject -n
eject: nicknames are:
fd -> /dev/rfd0c
fd0 -> /dev/rfd0c
floppy -> /dev/rfd0c
/dev/fd0 -> /dev/rfd0c
/dev/fd0a -> /dev/rfd0c
/dev/fd0b -> /dev/rfd0c
/dev/fd0c -> /dev/rfd0c
sr -> /dev/rsr0
sr0 -> /dev/rsr0
cd -> /dev/rsr0
cdrom -> /dev/rsr0
/dev/sr0 -> /dev/rsr0
and the manual page says:
BUGS
There should be a way to change the default on a per-user
basis.
It appears the nickname table is hard coded in the SunOS implementation....
