Subject: sup compress doesn't work now?

given the supfile:
mirror release=arch-sun3 host=sup.netbsd.org hostbase=/a/anon_ftp base=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data prefix=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data compress
current release=ksrc-sun3 host=sup.netbsd.org hostbase=/a/anon_ftp base=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data prefix=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data compress
current release=ksrc-common host=sup.netbsd.org hostbase=/a/anon_ftp base=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data prefix=/d2/eichin/netbsd/data compress
sup fails -- perhaps gzip isn't executable or is being invoked with
the wrong flags or something? [as you see I get these errors with text
files, like README, as well as the tar files.] The transfers work fine
without compression.
Since they worked with compression a week or two ago, I assume the
problem is on the sup.netbsd.org end, but would be happier if others
confirmed the problem (as I'm running my own port of sup on a linux
box :-)
