Perhaps this is only a cosmetic issue, but iff we do decide to take the
init.d/rc.d route, it would be nice if we could still see the startup
output on the console as:

	Starting network daemons: inetd printer.

rather than the silly 'polite' messages which seem to have infe[cs]ted
System V, i.e.:

	The System is coming up.  Please wait.
	Starting the Line Printer Service.
	Starting the Internet Daemon.
	Starting the RPC Port Mapper.
	Brewing you a Cup of Coffee.  Do you take cream and/or sugar?
	The System is ready.



As I said, it's purely cosmetic.  BUT IT DRIVES ME NVTS!
