Huh? What?  Ordering problems?  What sort of ordering problems?  I
thought that the scripts were processed in sort of numerical order
(actually it is alpha sort order of S*) from the /etc/rc*.d
directories where each rcn.d directory is processed when that number n
run level is being entered/exited - this should mean you can fix
any ordering.

The really nice thing about the /etc/init.d is that it allows kill
methods for processes so it means you can do cool things like shutdown
inn, your database server, whatever automatically.
