The ARM32 is a 32-bit microprocessor designed by Advanced Risc Machines
Ltd, based in Cambridge UK. The latest processors include the ARM610 and
ARM710 processors, as used in the Apple Newton, and by 3DO, and the soon
to be released StrongARM (a collaboration between Digital and ARM). The
processors feature very good MIPS/W ratings which make then attractive
for use in PDA's etc. The ARM32 port is for the Acorn RiscPC range of
machines, a range of desktop machines which are based on the ARM32 range.
