Actually, I think it's farily well-known that the PC architecture sucks
(this is why I use sparcs and old motorola boxes :-). This would be like
me (the hp300 port-master) saying that "the HIL sucks" (which, IMHO, it
does :-).
Really, I think you're being a little hard on Charles in this case...It's
perfectly fine to complain about broken and/or stupidly-designed hardware
if you end up being the one who works around the lossage in software.
