While I don't know that this is strictly a NetBSD question, it
appears that the required expertise exists on this list at any rate.
I have two systems, A sun4/260 and a sun3/260 both running
NetBSD. My Sun4/260 has a considerable newsfeed, and appears to work
just fine for news reading via the local news spool (using emacs).
Now, the news spool is mounted as /var/news and the databases
are in /var/newsctl. The news spool is a partition in itself, and
/var is the partition that /var/newsctl is on.
On the Sun3, I have mounted /var/news and /var/newsctl. When
I bring up GNUS in emacs, it sees all the newsgroups and the right
number of articles in each (just like using it on the Sun4). However,
when I select a newsgroup with emacs, it comes up empty.
Any ideas what I'm missing here?
Dave.
