Well, it now has the NetBSD1_2 symbol defined ... 

Like this:

NetBSD1_2	0	(pre-release, i.e. 1.2_ALPHA, 1.2_BETA)
NetBSD1_2	1	(the released NetBSD 1.2)
NetBSD1_2	2	(and higher ... post-1.2 current, i.e. 1.2A, 1.2B...)

The release branch, what everyone currently sups on, is currently on
NetBSD1_2 == 0, but is defined.

I'll let JT comment further on when the NetBSD1_2 symbol will change to 1.

Nonetheless, when I changed changed ifnet, I really should have bumped 
NetBSD1_1 to `4' (i.e. NetBSD 1.1C).  It just didn't cross my mind ... 
The last time there was a NetBSD ...C was for 0.9 .. and there were some 
hairy changes happening around that time ... A->B and B->C saw 
_significant_ new changes ... one one shared libraries, I think, and the 
other was the 64-bit filesystem, if I remember correctly.  In comparison, 
if_name/if_unit -> if_xname seems tame... :-)
