Hi,
does it hurt anything or anyone to change the dmesg output
(and the kernel output) for the serial ports on i386 to
tty00 and tty01 instead of com0 com1?
I think it would be more elegant and its difficult to explain
why the entry in /dev is named tty00 and the kernel
prints com0.
Btw. Linux does it exactly the other way round:
kernel says tty00 and port is named /dev/com0 (at
least in i saw one distribution with this naming scheme).
