Does anyone know of a JDK port to any of the *BSD's?
   I know lack of Motif is a problem for a full port, but hope mainly
   to be able to run the java compiler.
   Is there any concensus on a threads implementation that should be used?

A quick and dirty JDK for NetBSD/i386 is to run the FreeBSD port.  I'v
used it and it appears to act ok, except for the "display" program.
